What is literacy? What is technology?
In this course, we have been discussing literacy and how we would individually define it. To me, literacy can come in many forms. Literacy is not only the ability to read and write, but also the ability to communicate. In today's society, there are numerous ways to communicate. I don't think there is a universal definition to literacy. What is literate to you may be illiterate to someone else....Social, cultural and historical aspects truly play a role in determinnig literacy. Now, how do you define literacy?
What is technology? I believe technology is the way we modify our environment in order to meet our needs and wants. It's the way of using tools to better communicate and interact with one another. Therefore, a pencil is technology. A computer is technology. A cell phone is technology. The list is endless. Technology is all around us and ever-changing.

Blogging...
Blogging??? Yes, I've heard of it. Have I tried it? Not until recently....what a new form of literacy! Or is it? Maybe for myself, but not for the rest of the world.
So. what is a blog? Blogging is another way of expressing yourself through technology. In the article, "I Blog, He Blogs, She Blogs, Do You Blog?," I learned that blogs are real-world writing where the blogger can write about personal or professional issues. "Blogs are like books, magazines, and newspapers. People write down their thoughts so they can share them with someone else....it's "new" media and is published right away." So here it goes...blogging with Jessica Nelson.
